The closest to a commercial pop record they've gotten, but it has it's interesting twists such as the operatic vocals of Keven 007 and Egyptian Maqam inspired guitar work of Andrew. The song is about sex positivity and is a celebration of people who work in that world, something I personally can not relate to at all, but I still like the song a lot as it's got catchy melodies and it's a lot of fun. It is utterly filthy and bound to offend someone...for which they should be very proud indeed.
Loud, proud, and well endowed: Glitoris are back with glitz, glamor – and an operatic pop rock banger! A love letter to s3x w0rkers, ‘Lickety Split’ is a bombastic, audacious celebration of queer sex positivity. And hot damn! It’s your lucky day! Raunchy cabasa, rolling tom rhythms and cowbells meet succulent pop harmonies, heavy guitar chops and 808 breaks, all wrapped up with Keven 007’s bold-and-brassy Broadway sass. You can’t be all work and no play, so don’t miss a trick, click those sticks, and join Glitoris and the Gliterati at Lickety Split!
‘Lickety Split’ is the first single to be taken from the band’s hotly anticipated eponymous sophomore album, Glitoris (July 2023).
lyrics
La la la la la
Come on and get your kicks
And make it quick quick
Don’t want to miss a trick
At Lickety Split
You can fuck against the wall
You can flick it in the stall
You can prick it and withdraw
You can…
Lick it
You gotta fake it til you make it
And suck it til you hate it
And shake it til you break it
And down we go
Lick your lips
Lift your hips
Watch it drip drip
Hot damn! This is your lucky day!
You can’t be all work and no play
Ooh ooh ahh ahh
Ooh ooh ahh ahh aah
Get on your knees and lick it
Ba da ba bow
Da ba da ba bow
Da ba da ba bow
Da ba da ba bow
You can fuck against the wall
You can flick it in the stall
You can prick it and withdraw
You can...
Lick it
You gotta rub it on your stubble
Until you get in trouble
And we’ll get double bubble
It’s your lucky day
Lick your lips
Lift your hips
Watch it drip drip
Yeah
Turn your tricks
Get your fix
Make it spit spit
Hot damn! This is your lucky day!
You can’t be all work and no play
Ooh ooh ahh ahh
Ooh ooh ahh ahh ooh
What’s your problem with it?

Loud. Unapologetic. Hilarious. Fierce, Fun, Frenetic, and Femme: Glitoris is more than just a band. Blending genre-defying
art rock musicianship with razor-sharp lyrics, sardonic wit, on-point politics, and theatrical badassery, Glitoris is equal parts fists-in-the-air anthems, high-octane frenzy, and call-to-arms empowerment....more
